Jenny Craig came into my life this past year and it has been so rewarding for me. I’ve always been kind of infatuated with “diets” and a lot of the time they work..until you go off track and gain it all back because they aren’t sustainable for long term. I’ve always been a healthy weight but seem to gain weight easily, especially as I get older, and no matter what my weight I’ve pretty much always wanted to lose just another five or ten pounds. Whether I was cutting dairy, cutting meat, cutting sugar, cutting carbs, juicing, it always seemed to work for a bit but then the weight would come right back on after my strict habits ended. I needed a better solution. Something that could help me long term.
Jenny Craig has really opened my eyes to see that I can eat a wonderful balance of foods that includes salads and apples and broccoli but also includes cheeseburgers and pasta and chocolate cake, in moderation, and STILL SEE RESULTS. I used to be so strict about not having any pasta or cake that when I did finally have it a few times a year I’d go overboard. And by not allowing myself any of those indulgences I was probably overdoing it in other areas and still eating the same amount of calories in a day but was left feeling unsatisfied.
I truly enjoy the taste of the Jenny Craig meals, snacks and desserts and love how easy Jenny Craig makes it for me to reach my goals. Meals come pre-portioned for me so there’s no guess work and the daily meal plan keeps my nutritional needs and calories on track.
Once a week I meet one on one over the phone with my dedicated coach that provides guidance and feedback and also answers any questions that arise. She helps me order and schedule my next Jenny Craig delivery and swaps out any meals for me that contain items I don’t enjoy (for me, I swap anything with mushrooms😆👋🏻)!
The food that arrives in my orders is either shelf stable or frozen, arriving on dry ice that has always kept my meals frozen solid. I add in a few of my own fresh fruits, vegetables and yogurt otherwise everything I eat for two weeks is in that box! The variety of meals offered is huge and new meals come out frequently to keep it extra fun!
